Evangelical Church Representatives from Germany visit European Institute 

A group of 13 representatives of the Evangelical Churches of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, (Evangelische Kirche von Westfalen, Evangelische Kirche im Rheinland, Lippische Landeskirche) discussed questions of German-Turkish and EU-Turkey relations at the European Institute on January 19, 2013. Peter Widmann, DAAD Lecturer at the European Institute, outlined current developments in German-Turkish relations and their significance for Turkey’s European perspectives. The discussion revolved around current changes in the German party discourse on Turkey that indicate a search for new perspectives beyond present positions.
