Voices of the Unheard: View from Civil Society

The EU-funded project “Europeanisation of Public Debates and Civil Society in Turkey” (EUROCIV) was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alper Kaliber at the European Institute of Istanbul Bilgi University between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2014.

This research project examined the perceptions of civil society organizations active in the Kurdish issue regarding Europe/Europeanisation and the role of the EU in the Kurdish question and the peace process.

One of the project’s key outputs is a short documentary featuring interviews with several civil society organizations whose names may not be widely known, yet who have carried out significant work on the Kurdish issue.
