Do EU media paint a realistic picture of Turkey? Are certain topics under-represented or over-represented? Which other elements – for example, the migrant communities – influence the image of Turkey in European media and in the eyes of the European public?

These questions will be discussed by Gerald Knaus, Director of the European Stability Initiative, who will present the results of one year of detailed monitoring of the coverage of Turkey in the media of five EU countries (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands); as well as Senem Aydın Düzgit and Peter Widmann, both from İstanbul Bilgi University’s European Institute.
