College of Europe Master Program Scholarship Announcement
The Secretariat General for EU Affairs (EUSG) invites students with high academic standing and interest in the European Union to apply to the College of Europe and "The College of Europe Scholarship Program" for the academic year 2011-2012.

The Scholarship Programme, which aims to train qualified EU experts and future Turkish Eurocrats within the context of Turkish accession process to the European Union, was initiated under the auspices of Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Mr. Egemen Bağış in 2009.
With the coordination of the EUSG and thanks to our sponsor companies and organisations as well as the College of Europe, last year 12 scholarships were provided for Turkish students for a Master's Degree in this prestigious school both in Brugge and Natolin. The number of scholarships for the 2011-2012 academic year will be announced in due course in line with the provision of scholarships to be offered by the sponsor companies.
Students who receive scholarships will be able to attend one of the master programs (European Interdisciplinary Studies, EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies, European Political and Administrative Studies, European Economic Studies, European Law) of the College of Europe (Natolin or Brugge campus) for the 2011-2012 academic year. The scholarship covers fees as well as lodging, meals, registration, tuition, examinations and study trips during the program.
The application requirements are presented below. The deadline for the application is 28 February 2011. It is important to note that the application must be submitted to the College of Europe for a programme of applicant's choice as well as sending a copy of your the dossier to the EUSG for the scholarship.
The College of Europe Turkey Selection Committee will hold interviews with candidates shortlisted by the College around April 2011. Time and place of the interviews for scholarship will be conveyed to shortlisted candidates.
No application will be accepted after 28 February 2011.
I. Scholarship Application Requirements
• To be citizen of the Republic of Turkey
• To be younger than 34 years at the date of application
Notes:
1. The details of the application requirements to the College of Europe is accessible via http://www.coleurop.eu/. All the requirements of the College of Europe need to be satisfied by scholarship applicants.
2. The scholarship will be given only after the admission to the College of Europe is confirmed.
3. The College of Europe Turkish National Selection Committee will meet in April 2011 to interview the short-listed candidates to make a final selection of those who will be awarded scholarships. The date and place of the interview with candidates will be announced in due course.
4. The deadline for the application to the College of Europe is 28 February 2011 for the 2011-2012 academic year.
5. The language of education is both English and French. Therefore, the candidates ought to be able to speak and write both of the languages at the levels required for each program (http://www.coleurop.eu/).
II. Documents Required for Scholarship Application
• Scholarship application form (is accessible via www.abgs.gov.tr), filled and signed,
• A copy of the entire application dossier given to the College of Europe,
• Applicants from public sector have to submit an official permission letter from their institution (indicating that applicant will be allowed to go to the College of Europe for the duration of the program in case he/she is granted the scholarship) together with their application dossier,
The candidates need to complete the below listed documents and submit to the EUSG personally or via surface post no later than 28 February 2011. The EUSG will not accept any responsibility due to the postal delays.
