WHAT IS CREATIVE EUROPE?
European Agenda for Culture, published by the EU Commission in 2007, aims to highlight and preserve the diversity within European cultures. Within the scope of this Agenda, the institutions of the European Union and the competent institutions in the member countries organize various projects and activities. The studies under the Creative Europe Programme carried out also to emphasize the common cultural values throughout the European Union and the common historical heritage shared by the member countries.
In the context of this agenda, The Creative Europe Program (2014-2020) is the most current framework programme of the European Commission for support to the culture and audiovisual sectors. The main purpose of this program is to strengthen the social and economic development by highlighting the cultural market and creative sectors. In addition, the Creative Europe Program strengthens the cooperation between cultural and creative sectors and contributes to the consolidation of cultural dialogue through projects supported by cultural development, cultural richness and diversity in Europe.
