30th anniversary of the Jean Monnet Activities
The European Commission is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Jean Monnet Activities all around the world with an event series. The European Institute of İstanbul Bilgi University will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Jean Monnet Activities with an event series from May 2 to May 21, 2019 at santralistanbul Campus which will be announced soon.
What is the aim of Jean Monnet Activities?
Jean Monnet Activities have been planned to promote excellence in teaching and research in the field of European Union studies. Also, one of the main aim of these activities is to create communication between the academics and policy-makers for enhancing governance of EU policies.
The discipline of European Union studies covers the study on the European integration process' internal and external aspects. The discipline also scopes the role of the EU in a globalised world and in promoting active European citizenship and dialogue between people and cultures.main
What types of activities are supported?
Teaching and Research: Jean Monnet Modules, Chairs and Centres of Excellence.
Support to Associations: Jean Monnet support to Associations.
Policy debate with the Academic World: Jean Monnet Networks and Jean Monnet Projects.
