The project titled ‘OppAttune: Countering Oppositional Political Extremism through Attuned Dialogue: Track, Attune, Limit’ for which the application was made by the consortium including BILGI Radicalization Field of Excellence Assoc. Prof. Hasret Dikici Bilgin from our University’s Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Department of International Relations who acts as co-coordinator and Research Assistant Dr. Gökçe Gezer from our University’s Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Department of International Relations who acts as researcher has been entitled to receive a budget of 2.091.735,19 Euro by the European Commission Horizon European Programme.

The project addresses a series of interventions at the national and transnational levels tracking the evolution of oppositional extreme ideologies and protectionist decision-making, developing an innovative attunement model and limiting the spread of extremism. It also aims to revitalize trust in key democratic institutions. As part of the project, OppAttune Summer Academy (2025) for students and researchers and OppAttune Winter Academy (2026) for practitioners and policymakers will be created.

The project consortium led by Panteion University consists of 17 project partners from 17 different countries.
