The third and the last Conference of this series was held in Eskişehir in collaboration with BİLGİ’s European Institute and Anadolu University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences on “Turkey’s EU Accession Process –Role of the Private Sector”. The Conference took place in Anadolu University, Eskişehir, on 31st March 2008.

Conference Program

İstanbul Bilgi University’s European Institute organized a conference series on the EU with the support of Turkey’s EU Communication Group Initiative (ABİG)-Ankara. The first conference of this series was held in collaboration with BİLGİ’s European Institute and Akdeniz University’s EU Centre on “Turkey’s EU Accession –Contribution and role of Euro Turks and of EU Citizens in Turkey to the Accession Process” which focused on the role, the possible contributions of both communities to Turkey’s EU accession. The Conference took place in Antalya, Turkey on 14-15th February 2008 (http://eu.bilgi.edu.tr/develact07.asp?m=8). The second conference of this series was held in Kayseri, on 6th March 2008, in collaboration with BİLGİ’s European Institute and Erciyes University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, International Relations Department on “EU Turkey Agenda for the 21st century: Justice, Security and Democracy” which aims to discuss EU-Turkey relations from a broad perspective. The third and the last Conference of this series was held in Eskişehir in collaboration with BİLGİ’s European Institute and Anadolu University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences on “Turkey’s EU Accession Process –Role of the Private Sector”. The Conference took place in Anadolu University, Eskişehir, on 31st March 2008.
