European Parliament Elections 2019

The 2019 European elections will take place on 23-26 May 2019 giving all adult EU citizens the opportunity to select who will represent them in the European Parliament.

The European Parliament (EP) Elections, which are held every 5 years, is a hot topic nowadays. However, there are many different opinions on the results of the election and the future of the European Union there is no clear answer to these questions. In this regard, some researchers and politicians voice some scenarios. The common scenario is that the rising right-wing populism in the last 10 years will affect the results of the election. The worst scenario would be the increase of the number of right-wing populist MP’s who will undoubtedly influence the EU policies in the future. According to some researches, the number of the right-wing populist MP’s will increase by at least 10%, and even if they are not the strongest party in the Parliament, they will still influence important decisions and reforms.
