It’s World Children’s Day!

A day to reimagine a better future for every child.

November 20th is an important date as it is the date when the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1959. It is also the date when the UN General assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989.

World Children’s Day was first established in 1954 as Universal Children's Day. The Main aim of this Day is to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and to improve children's welfare. This is a day which remarks the importance of children and their special rights and freedoms.

This year, we are celebrating joylessly than any other years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Also, there are more need of support and effort of local authorities and central governments for children's future and to live their rights fully in safer environments. Of course parents, teachers, health care professionals, religious elders, corporate and media professionals as well as young people and children themselves can play an important role for building a good and safe future for children.

We wish all the clashes, wars and of course the pandemic all over the world come to an end as soon as possible and the children can play in the streets again.

Happy World Children’s Day!
