Every year on 21 February, the world celebrates International Mother Language Day. This year’s theme of ‘Languages without borders’ focuses on local cross border languages that can help promote peaceful dialogue and understanding between communities in neighbouring countries.
The one of the important aim of International Mother Language Day is encourage Nations to give importance to their mother languages along different dialects to preserve their cultural identities.Because, cultural and linguistic diversity is highly important for sustainable societies. Supporting of the cultural diversity, helps to build peace between different groups and it also helps to preserve the differences in cultures and languages. All mother tongues have a significance for the common history and heritage of humanity. It is necessary to emphasize these values, to closely monitor all kinds of language rights violations and achievements, and to protect all native languages.
